Sugaring off

Yesterday Mike took the day off and accompanied us to the cabane à sucre with the Carrefour des petits soleils (our playgroup). Farm animals, a train, a horse-drawn carriage, snow, dancing, loads of fat and sugar... it was obviously a great day. Since Chloé insisted on hanging out with her teacher, Isabelle, for most of the time, I was often childless, and Mike even got to nap on the bus on the way back. I, high on coffee and sugar, just watched my sticky son comatose in my arms. Dinner last night consisted of tomato soup - we couldn't stomach anything but vegetables.
