Hair and ears

It's Saturday afternoon... napping time at the zoo. Mike's been called in to work to deal with some backup tape issues, so I actually have time to blog.

This morning we went to Rockland Shopping Centre. It's a big adventure for the kids because they have a great pet store there. We stopped by Minimod, and despite the craziness, they were able to take the kids immediately for haircuts. Zach's first haircut!! He looks so cute with his bangs gelled up. As we were leaving, we realized that they pierce kids' ears there now. Chloe has been asking for months to get earrings, even though she knew it would hurt to get "holes in her ears". We asked her if she still wanted to, and she nodded, so they applied the numbing cream to her earlobes, and we came back in half an hour. Of course when it actually came time to do it, she was scared, but the promise of a lollipop got her through the traumatic event, and now she is very proud of her ears! A new haircut and earrings - my baby is almost ready for her third birthday...
