We spent our New Year's Eve first at church, then up on the mountain (Mont Royal) this afternoon, sliding in some of the first real snow we've seen this winter. We've been forcing the kids to go every year, but this is the first time they've actually enjoyed it. If the snow lasts, I'm sure we'll be back. Tomorrow Mike's grandmother, 2 aunts, 2 uncles and 2 cousins come over and we've spent the evening prepping the food. Unfortunately I really slashed my thumb opening a can, so I am now reduced to giving orders to Mike and not doing any real work (poor me).
