I had a great day and a half in London, courtesy of my mother, who not only paid for the ticket, but took care of the kids!! I left Thursday morning and got back to Cardiff on Friday night, playing tourist with my old friend Marga, who lives there. We shopped, saw a show (Fame), had a cream tea in the Crypt at St-Martin-in-the-Fields, explored the National Portrait Gallery, and on Friday we spent the day in Greenwich at the Royal Observatory and the Maritime museum (where Marga is doing research).
