Girls' night out

All week I promised Chloé that she could have a "girls' night" with Mommy on Saturday. So Saturday evening, while Zach hung out with Daddy, Chloé and I took the "train" (i.e. the metro) to Emilie's house for Margaret's wedding shower. Chloé had a great time, but half way through she seemed a little flushed to me and wanted to go home. Sure enough, even when we got home and found "Uncle Tony" (Anthony) and Simon and Alison hanging out with Daddy and Zaco, she chose to go straight to bed. (You've got to understand - these are three of her favorite people in the whole wide world.) Yes, my baby girl is a little feverish even today, but not so sick that she would stay home from church!! (And yes, she was offered the option.) So I guess Mike and I are going to go ahead with our date tonight.
